Yasser quarry (El Shekh Fadl - Egypt) - using MESH module Print

The MESH module allows to use all the points acquired by laser scan and then create a triangular grid on these points, which describes the surveyed objects with the accuracy adopted by laser scanner. In order to avoid too heavy triangular grids, i.e. difficult to be managed, a smart decimation of points is normally executed first (preserving the corners of objects). Then the automatic computing of meshes is performed. Meshes can be customized by manual or semiautomatic mesh editing commands. The final model can be used to obtain contour lines, volumes calculation, sections or as a basis for virtual reality and rapid prototyping.

Triangular mesh The triangular grid mesh has been automatically computed. It can be fixed and customized when is necessary by the appropriate manual or semiautomatic editing commands of CloudCUBE.
