CGKEvent - Computer Graphic Knowledge Event The Department of Mathematic Methods for Architecture organizes on the next 14th May at the conference hall of the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Naples “Federico II”, CGKEvent, public meeting concerning 3D modelling techniques, real time 3D visualization and rendering applied on cultural heritage and architecture. The event aims at promoting the 2D and 3D computer graphics know-how with a series of reports of field experts belonging to university institutions and private companies.

Virtualgeo is attending CGKEvent to present the report: “Laser Scanning and Reverse Modelling, the New Survey Boundary. CloudCUBE: Integrated Software on Autocad® Platform for Managing Data Delivered by Laser Scanner”.

The report will focuses on the functionalities of CloudCUBE, software developed by Virtualgeo to manage and model the “point clouds” delivered by laser scanning instruments.

CloudCUBE is the unique Italian software and among the three existing in the international market of its type. It allows to 3D model directly on the point clouds and to obtain graphic-numeric technical representations (plans, elevations, sections, axonometric projections and perspective cutaways) from the obtained digital model. Moreover the 3D model can be used for virtual reality and rapid prototyping applications.

The detailed program of the meeting is available in: www.cgkevent.com.
