Intergeo 2008

Virtualgeo
will present the new version of CloudCUBE 2009 at Intergeo 2008 taking place from September 30th to October 2nd in the fair ground of Bremen (Germany). Virtualgeo is in Hall 6, Stand 6.429.

Our technicians will be glad to present all the new potentialities of CloudCUBE 2009, which has important innovations. The visitors at Virtualgeo booth can have a DVD with the FREE DEMO VERSION of CloudCUBE 2009 (trial version).

New functionalities The main innovations of CloudCUBE 2009 are:

  • managing MORE THAN 500 million points in a single dwg;
  • new functionalities to obtain automatically plans, sections, elevations, renderings of point clouds, axonometric projections, 3D model cutaways;
  • new 3D modelling techniques with region entities;
  • integration of laser scanning surveys and surveys carried out with traditional instruments (GPS, total station).

The main innovations of the new version CloudCUBE 2009 are listed in detail below:

Module New commands and enhancement
 MANAGER
  • Import and split from asc, txt, xyz, pts (for importing big clouds).
  • Associating hundreds million points with a single dwg.
  • Visualization of bounding-boxes of hidden clouds to determine their spatial position.
  • Safe control system.
  • Visualization of the total number of points/triangles in the loaded/associated clouds.
  • Resample clouds: creates a new cloud as union of the selected clouds with a small number of points.
  • Paste points to cloud: makes a copy of the selected points in the target cloud.
  • Purge functionalities free hard disk space removing temporarily or unused files created by CloudCUBE.
  • Conversion of cloud from 2008 or previous version to the new CloudCUBE 2009 version.
 MESH
  • Improved triangular mesh computation.
  • Improved mesh holes location and filling.
 DRAW
  • Compound sections.
  • Compound plans.
  • Elevations.
  • Axonometric projections.
  • 3D model cutaway.
 SURFACE
  • Fit region on selected points.
  • Extend regions along their contour.
  • Split regions by their intersection lines.
  • plit quad surfaces with region by their intersection lines.
  • Invert normals of selected regions.
  • riangulate region: transforms the selected regions in set of triangles.
 3D UTILITIES
  • Surveys carried out with traditional instruments (GPS, total station) Inquiry of angles, distances and slope between two points.
  • Import survey point blocks.
  • Generate manually point blocks.
  • Point blocks report on a text file.
  • Generate points block with a virtual survey.
  • Elevate point blocks.
  • Elevate polylines on point blocks.
  • Editing of polylines/3D polylines.
  • Elevate vertices of a 3D polyline with elevation zero.
  • Unify 3D polylines by coincident extreme vertices.
  • Build a graph on a section.
  • Edit graph.
  • Rebuild edited graph.
  • Perform intersection of triangle models.
  • Insert text on contour lines.
  • Volume calculation by intersection of triangle models.
  • Area calculation of selected 3D faces.
