Below are listed the most frequent questions received by the Commercial and Technical Area and the related answers. On website surfing many other questions will arise. Please, do not hesitate to contact us by email or phone to get the replies.
What is CloudCUBE?CloudCUBE is an integrated software which allows to import, visualize and manage, directly in AutoCAD®, the millions of points obtained by laser scanner. CloudCUBE provides powerful tolls for managing data in the architectural, archaeological and environmental fields aiming at producing various bi-dimensional information (contour lines, volumes calculation, plans, elevations, sections, etc.) and creating the three-dimensional models of the surveyed object. In particular in the 3D representation multiple perfectly integrated modelling techniques are available. Is it possible to have a demo version of CloudCUBE?Yes. It is possible to ask for a demo version of CloudCUBE by directly contacting Virtualgeo S.r.l. The demo is a full version, with all the functionalities, and allows to use CloudCUBE for 15 days. For further details, please do not hesitate to contact us. How much does CloudCUBE cost?CloudCUBE is a modular product and consists of four main modules: MANAGER, MESH, DRAW e SURFACE . The modularity offers the advantage of regulating the expense to your actual needs. For this reason our Technicians and Agents are available to help you in the purchase according to the activities of your company. What about the CloudCUBE distribution? The present CloudCUBE versions are distributed directly by Virtualgeo S.r.l., or by the authorized retailer, in a package containing the installation CD, all the necessary documents and a hardware protection key for USB port. Is there a CloudCUBE version for schools?Yes. An “Educational” version is available without any functionality limitation. In this case CloudCUBE is provided with a network license to enable group of 5-10-20 users. Are there first level courses for using CloudCUBE?Yes. Besides the software, with CloudCUBE you can share a real work philosophy consolidated in more than 15 years of experience of the company in the fields of survey and of environmental, architectural and archaeological planning (www.virtualgeo.it ). For this reason some first level courses for using CloudCUBE are arranged. The courses allow to discover all the potentialities of the product and the several use techniques of the commands. All is aimed at obtaining the final results according to the quality required by the Client. For further details, please do not hesitate to contact us. Which are the requirements needed to use CloudCUBE?CloudCUBE requires a 2006, or higher, AutoCAD® version or a related vertical product (Civil 3D, Architectural Desktop, etc.) and needs the same system requirements as AutoCAD®. Does CloudCUBE need a particular hardware configuration? No. CloudCUBE was conceived, projected and tested to warrant optimum performances also by computer with “normal” potentialities. The “level of detail” integrated visualization system of points allows to adapt the visualization quality of the points clouds to the technical features of the system in use. Consequently the only real difference in the performance of CloudCUBE is the amount of RAM installed: the greater the memory of the system, the greater the number of points which can be loaded. There are good news for the CloudCUBE users who have a 64 bit computer since the new operating systems (64 bit Windows Vista or Windows XP) allow to solve a limit of the previous operating systems, i.e. the maximum amount of memory usable by a single integrated software was 2 GB of RAM. How does CloudCUBE integrate in AutoCAD®?CloudCUBE relies on an external database to store the millions of points composing clouds so that the CAD performances are increased. Nevertheless, any CloudCUBE command can be recalled in AutoCAD® and it follows the work philosophy of the CAD, decreasing the learning times. In this way the user can import and visualize data as well as proceed with the bi-dimensional and three-dimensional representation phases in AutoCAD® without using other external software. |
